The 1969 GS Hi-Beat appeared shortly after Grand Seiko's introduction of Grammar of Design, embodying all 'Nine Enduring Elements' of the Grammar criteria, remaining so simple yet so beautiful, a classic aspect of the Grand Seiko brand.

The fact that this watch can look so unbelievably fresh and delicate is such a testament to the GS design, wearing exactly as you'd expect; traditional, classy, understated, and easily dressed up and down. The tuning fork/high beat frequency ensures precise timekeeping, even over 50 years later. Plus, we love the tuning sound of the second's hand moving, almost personalising the watch.
